Marr is responsible for managing and setting the investment policy for Leisure Capital Management clients. Prior to founding Leisure Capital Management, he was a Principal of a registered investment advisory firm for 9 years, and gained his extensive trust and estate planning background working with Trust Services of America and US Trust of California. Marr received his undergraduate degree in Political Science in 1976 and an MBA in Finance in 1980 from the University of Southern California. He received a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) degree from American College in 1985. Marr served on the board of directors of the CFA Society of Orange County (CFASOC) from 1998 – 2002, serving as President in 1998 and 1999. He served as President of the Planned Giving Roundtable of Orange County, was President of the Orange County Chapter of the American Society of CLU & ChFC and President of the Chancellor`s Club of the University of California, Irvine. Marr lives in Irvine with his wife, Anne. Their older son, John, is currently a PhD candidate at UCLA. Their younger son, Charlie, is currently employed at Morgan Stanley in New York after graduating from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
Gideon is a Principal, Financial Advisor and Chief Investment Officer at Leisure Capital Management. He oversees the research, and analysis for Leisure Capital Management`s investment strategies. . He has been managing fixed income and equity securities portfolios since 1992. His prior experience includes working in the role as an analyst and portfolio manager for a firm with over $1 billion in assets. Gideon has served as Vice President of Investments and is currently the Chairman of the Board for the Jewish Community Foundation of Orange County. He has years of experience on private foundation boards and charitable giving advising wealthy families and foundation achieve their philanthropic missions. Gideon earned his B.A. degree in Psychology with Honors from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) in 1996, a distinguished designation awarded to investment professionals and recognized worldwide. Gideon is a member of the CFA Institute, and served as a board member of the CFASOC organization and several charitable organizations. He resides in Orange County with his wife, Jeanne, and children, Jay and Beaue.
Ray is a Principal and Portfolio Manager at Leisure Capital Management. He oversees the equity mutual fund research and assists in the analysis of the overall investment portfolios. In addition, Ray oversees account activity and services for new and existing clients. Since 1993, Ray has been involved in portfolio research and analysis as well as account management for high-net-worth individuals and foundations. Ray earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance with an emphasis in Securities from California State University, Long Beach. He was awarded his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2006, a distinguished designation awarded to investment professionals and recognized worldwide and is a member of the CFA Society of Orange County. Ray was active in junior youth sports as a volunteer, coach and mentor for 15 years. He resides in Huntington Beach, with his wife Andrea, and three children, Bryan, Johnathan, and Kathryn.
John joined Leisure Capital Management in January 2010 and is responsible for marketing strategies and client development. Prior to joining Leisure, he was Senior Vice President and Regional Manager for Dresdner Kleinwort Securities, a global investment bank headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany. John spent 17 years at Dresdner in its New York and Chicago offices. His focus was primarily on corporate finance and leveraged acquisitions. Prior to joining Dresdner, John worked as a tax advisor at Integrated Resources, Inc. and started his career with the tax department at Price Waterhouse in New York. John received a B.S. in Accounting from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY in 1979. In 1982, he obtained his J.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law and in 1986 a LLM in Taxation from New York University School of Law. John was admitted to the NY State Bar and US Tax Court in 1983. John resides in Newport Coast with his wife, Stacy. They have a son, Robert, a graduate of Georgetown University currently working at Morgan Stanley in New York and a daughter, Julia, a medical student at New York University.
Patrick is Principal and Senior Investment Officer for Leisure Capital Management and has been working in the investment management industry since 2007. He takes responsibility for research across the firm’s investment breadth, and is part of the Investment Committee. Patrick also handles trading for the firm, and managing client accounts. In 2019, he assumed responsibility for the marketing efforts of the firm. Patrick graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with emphasis in Accounting. Patrick was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2014. He is a member of the CFA Institute as well as the CFA Society of Orange County. Patrick earned his Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation in 2015, and is a member of the CAIA Association. Patrick lives in Irvine with his fiancee Nicole. His hobbies include sports, craft beer, and chasing after their golden retriever puppy, Molly.
Sandra is the Client Services Manager for Leisure Capital Management, overseeing multiple facets of operation including database management, compliance, client services, and reporting. Through Sandra’s personal experience of navigating her own mother’s end of life care, and as a graduate of the Corgenius Transition Master Class, she is uniquely qualified to guide clients through all the transitions, losses, and griefs of life. Sandra attended St. Petersburg College and Long Beach City College. Additionally, Sandra comes to Leisure Capital with extensive administrative and financial services knowledge and has completed her Series 7 preparation courses. Sandra is an active participant in the California Race Series in Seal Beach and the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Sandra resides in Orange County with her husband Rob. They have a son Hunter, and a daughter, Robyn, currently a student at UC Berkeley. Sandra has a son Robert, the current Chief Financial Officer of Lazy Dog Restaurants.
Christina is Senior Associate, Client Service at Leisure Capital Management. She earned her Bachelors of Arts degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from Cal State University, Fullerton. In 2015, Christina joined Leisure Capital Management, bringing extensive client service experience and financial services knowledge after having previously worked for Charles Schwab & Co. in Orange County since 1998. Christina previously passed and held the Series licenses 7, General Securities Representative Exam and 66, and Uniform Combined State Law Exam. She supports the Susan G Komen OC, Race for the Cure for Breast Cancer Awareness. She currently resides in Irvine with her husband Mark and their two children, Nathan and Jessica. She enjoys traveling with her family in the summertime.
Avery Wenck joined Leisure Capital Management as an Analyst in 2019. A member of the Investment Committee, Avery’s responsibilities include the development & implementation of portfolio strategies, supporting research efforts across the firm, and working closely with Portfolio Managers to ensure portfolios are aligned with client goals. Prior to joining Leisure Capital, Avery worked as an associate at Mercer Advisors, a $16B+ wealth management firm. Avery earned his B.S. in Communication from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He is involved philanthropically with the Pacific Life LIFEvest Financial Literacy Program as well as KidWorks Orange County. Avery moved to Orange County from his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska in 2018 and currently resides in Corona Del Mar.
